This three-day comprehensive course is designed to take your knowledge and skills of defensive firearm shooting to the next level. Students will learn advanced shooting techniques, including multiple shooting positions, how to use cover and concealment and shooting on the move.  Day two includes retention shooting, advanced drills designed to simulate high stress scenarios with multiple attackers, one handed handgun manipulation drills and a night shoot using multiple flashlight techniques.  Day three is conducted in our Shoot Houses and includes multiple scenario reenactments using force-on-force training with non-lethal munitions.

Prerequisite: Defensive Pistol - Level I and a valid Firearms / Carry Permit OR Criminal Background Check from your Chief Law Enforcement Officer

What to bring:

  • Semi-automatic pistol – 9mm or larger
  • Quality Polymer, Kydex, or other rigid material holster. Strong side hip holsters are preferred
  •  Strongside IWB holsters and cover garments are allowed (see conditions)
    • Your holster MUST be gun specific and you MUST be able to re-holster one handed.
    •  The instructor has the final say on if the holster can be used in the course. Appendix carry is not allowed.
  • Quality Gun Belt
  • 1,000 Rounds of ammunition 
  • 6 high-capacity magazines (12+ round capacity), or 10 (7+ round capacity) magazines
  • ​Minimum 2 double magazine holder
  • Eye protection, ear protection (electronic preferred), ​ball cap/sun visor, ​Sunscreen, bug spray, etc.
  • Tactical Handheld Flashlight
  • ​Optional: Hands-Free light or headlamp if you have one

What to wear:

  • High neck shirts / t-shirt, close toe shoes, pants or shorts with belt loops and loose pockets​
  • Knee / elbow pads(optional)

Once the form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation by email within 24 hours.
By submitting this application, the student agrees to abide by any and all safety procedures required by Boondocks FTA™.  

The student also agrees to sign a statement releasing Boondocks FTA, LLC™ from any responsibility or liability for any injury the student may sustain during the training program. 
Safety is the MOST important issue and instruction may be terminated at any time if the student is determined to be unsafe to themselves and/or other students and staff.​
