​This two-day course is designed for concealed carry handguns, pocket pistols, or revolvers.  Students learn the fundamentals of carrying a handgun for personal protection, additional carry modes and holsters for inside and outside the waistband, pocket, purse, appendix, ankle, cross draw carry and the advantages and disadvantages of each. The course also includes information on the concealed carry mindset, other essential carry gear and how to safely carry and draw your handgun from your preferred carry mode. Day 1 range exercises include drawing from concealment, malfunction drills, and shooting from cover and concealment. Day 2 range exercises include timed shooting and qualification drills, shooting on the move, engaging moving targets and force on force scenarios. 


Please note: This course DOES NOT qualify for the MS Enhanced Permit endorsement.

Vehicles are a big part of our everyday life. Unfortunately, they can also make us a target of carjackers and other criminal elements. This two-day course teaches the skills needed to better defend yourself and your family when confronted with a threat around your vehicle. It covers defensive driving awareness, how to exit and use the vehicle for cover, the challenges of shooting from inside a vehicle, and how bullets are affected when impacting a vehicle.

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 (DSF-L1) is a collaboration between Rob Pincus and the United States Concealed Carry Association. The course uses intuitive teaching methods designed to provide you with efficient training for the most probable types of self-defense situations. This blended learning curriculum includes the DSF-L1 online eLearning module, the DSF-L1 book, and a full day of live fire exercises on the range.  Upon registration, the student will receive information on how to obtain access to the eLearning module and will be shipped the DSF-L1 book.  The student can then complete the eLearning at home and at their own pace prior to the live fire exercises.

This is a comprehensive two-day class designed for compact or full sized semi-automatic pistols 9mm or larger. The course teaches the fundamentals of defensive shooting with a handgun --"learning how to fight with a handgun."  In this course you will be drawing from a holster, using multiple loading techniques, advanced malfunction drills, and intermediate shooting techniques on our turning target system. This course is designed to prepare you for our Defensive Pistol II course.

This three-day comprehensive course is designed to take your knowledge and skills of defensive firearm shooting to the next level. Students will learn advanced shooting techniques, including multiple shooting positions, how to use cover and concealment and shooting on the move.  Day two includes retention shooting, advanced drills designed to simulate high stress scenarios with multiple attackers, one handed handgun manipulation drills and a night shoot using multiple flashlight techniques.  Day three is conducted in our Shoot Houses and includes multiple scenario reenactments using force-on-force training with non-lethal munitions.

This course covers the importance of being aware of your surroundings ("situational awareness"), introduces defensive firearms concepts, and covers the legal and ethical aspects of carrying and using a firearm in defense of your self and/or others. 

The completion of this course qualifies students for the Enhanced Endorsement to the Mississippi Firearms Permit.

This one-day BFTA™ proprietary course teaches ladies how to safely use a handgun. This course covers the importance of being aware of your surroundings ("situational awareness"), introduces defensive firearms concepts, and covers the legal and ethical aspects of carrying and using a firearm in defense of your self and/or others. This course is limited to eight ladies and is led by a female instructor. 

The completion of this course qualifies students for the Enhanced Endorsement to the Mississippi Firearms Permit.

This course will also include information on essential carry gear, instruction on how to safely carry and draw your handgun from your preferred carry mode, introduce the topic of cover and concealment and techniques on how to use and shoot from cover and concealment.
